Leaving Reiff Beach Cottage today was incredibly hard. I just wanted to stay there forever.

It has been the most perfect place to celebrate my birthday, with various friends and family coming and going throughout the week - and filling the rooms with joy and laughter.

We all LOVED the house and enjoyed getting to know the surroundings. We especially loved the bunnies and the sheep! Such a special place. I’m so glad I found it.

Such a beautiful place! It feels on the edge of the world and to be on the edge of the world with such style, well that is quite a wonderful thing indeed. I feel nourished, replenished and reconnected. It is all too easy to forget in the city, this place remembers me to my true home. Bless this place of wild peace.

Great house and lovely to be here again. Spotted 20-30 dolphins from Polbain Pier also otters in front of the house!

Great location, we were lucky with the weather! The local shop a few miles away is well stocked and we had no need to go to Ullapool. Sitting on the hill above the bay (Parliament Rock) is recommended in the evenings to spot otters- a lovely break from the stress of daily life in beautiful surroundings!

We had a great time enjoying the house and helping Sea Change Wester Ross get some underwater records of the Tanera Mor bays in spite of weather. We'll be back to continue as soon as we can. The Seasearch team

An idyllic location. A charming centre to explore the surrounding country, dramatic coastline and lovely beaches. Although the weather was changeable this part of the Highlands never disapoints for scenery or entertainment. We've loved being in the cottage with panoramic views of the sea and wildlife - we've also loved cooking seafood in the very convivial kitchen-diningroom with great evenings around the fire - all ages. Am Fuaran still does reliably delicious and plentiful food and the local shop is amazing and helpful. Amazing location, fantastic spacious cottage.. We'll certainly return ....

We loved being at the road end. Beds really comfy and views stunning. Red breasted merganser's were in abundance from every window and Mr Stoat rolling away the mallard's eggs was stunning too.

Wow! 7 days of non stop wall-to-wall sunshine has made our stay at Reiff Beach Cottage superb. The stars in the evening are breathtaking and to see the Milky way magical! Plus two evenings of the Northern Lights even more so. The Wildlife we've seen has been recorded in the cottage's Nature Book!

Location and cottage are breathtaking, making this one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. Scenery, wildlife and sealife were so educational for our daughters. Loved the fact sheets and the books throughout the house kept my seven year old amused for days. We saw a family of stoats up close in the garden. Highly recommended for all ages.

A wonderful time at the edge of the world. We felt very at home in this beautiful house full of wonderful paintings and photographs. A joy to discover this most beautiful of places with its ever shifting light. Truly tranquil even whilst being moments from the heart of the storm. Enchanted and mesmerising.

We loved the beach and going for a boat ride and kayaking. On our boat ride we met a pod of dolphins! We also went on breathtaking adventures, climbing up steep mountains. We've seen lots of seals, porpoise, gannets, cormorants and we've caught over 30 mackeral. We will definately be coming back soon!

Fabulous art and a great selection of books. A true cooks kitchen which easily accomodated a large number of us for Sunday Lunch. Beds lovely and comfortable with great mattresses and I loved the fact the house was constantly warm and at an even temperature. We've had wind and hail storms as well as two days of glorious sunshine and views have been beautiful throughout all. I throughly recommend the (hand dived) scallops and langoustines at the Am Fauran pub. I hope we can stay again very soon.

Spacy, extremely well equipped, original art work, breathtaking surroundings with lovely animals (sheep, rabbits - we liked them!) We will think back to Reiff, when we stand once more beside our snowy mountains in Switzerland, and again and again we will ask ourselves how does it looks HERE!

Lovely house. We've had a great time. We recommend going to the Highland Games in Lochinver - it's awesome. The beds were so comfy too, we made fires and toasted marshmallows!

Love 'The Island' and the secret white sand beach beyond. The kids loved Achnahaird beach best and the Summer Isles are as beautiful as always. The house is full of peaceful soul resting books, paintings, lovely soft bedding. Thanks!

For 3 days we climbed at the sandstone rocks just 10 minutes walk from this house. It is different to the Alps where there are bolts on the routes, so we preferred 'top rope' and admired the locals doing traditional climbing.

Amazing week with amazing weather. Highlights include walking up Ben More Assynt, night walk to fantastic beach beyond the end of the lochan to spot an otter. Plus kayaking with seals. It is a wonderful part of the world and we were very comfortable in this lovely cottage!

Our last visit was in 2011 and we've been desperate to return ever since! We were not disapointed returning to this lovely clean and cosy cottage. Food at the Summer Isles Hotel was delicious, and great places to eat in Ullapool too. The drive to Lochinver is amazing. Thank you, we hope to come back again!

A wonderful week with glorious weather and wonderful bird watching - even from the windows....There arn't many houses where you can see Great Northern Divers, Greenshanks ....and even a stoat from your window. It has been a lovely comfortable base for exploring - such a relaxing house.

We had a great week in this lovely house despite everything the weather could hurl against us! Wonderful location, stunning scenery for mile after mile. We walked to Sandwood bay - our last visit 15 years ago. Have seen winged plovers, great northern divers and otter tracks. We hope very much to come back!

An amazing cottage in an amazing location. Perfect weather and not a cloud in the sky. We had a wonderful time swimming in the sea in february, walking and rock climbing. The house is extremely comfortable and very well equipped. We had a lovely time and really want to come back.

We have had a sublime week....Even when it did cloud over and rain it was atmospheric. We have had lovely beach walks, climbed Stac Pollaidh, paddled the loch beneath and swam from the gorgeous beach at the end of the loch. Dinner at the local pub (very good) The cottage has the most amazing views and is very comfortable and homely. We enjoyed lighting a fire in the evenings. Very cosy! Thank you for a special memorable holiday.

We had a fantastic week. The small bay the other side of the loch was amazing, the views breathtaking. The children loved crabbing, and digging on the beach. Was lucky enough to spot a whale and seals yesterday. Would love to visit again and explore and walk the miles and miles of shore!

"Just wanted to say what a wonderful stay we had at your house in Reiff in August.  The house was much more spacious and comfortable than even your pictures made it appear, and the kitchen was fantastic.  We had a great week, and the weather was really good throughout. Thank you so much, it was really a memorable time, and we will definitely be planning to book the house again. It's hard to think of anything that could have made it better, because we just kept finding ourselves discussing how great it was! The books were wonderful, and we read a few. TV worked well,the kids (early 20s) loved the keyboard,  the grill pit in the garden worked well when we cooked some mackerel..and most amazingly, the beds and pillows were really comfortable.We all  loved the Guardian posters. It looked like you had put an enormous amount of work into the house and we all appreciated how well it worked.

"A wonderful week despite the weather - saw lots of interesting bird life both on the lochan at the back of the house and in the local area. (46 species in total) One of the highlights was seeing baby geese (Grey Lags) Snipe and Redshank. Local walks good for families and throughly recommend Stac Pollaidh. Looking forward to coming back soon."

Adore this house and its beautiful location - a very special place. we've had an amazing week here. We enjoyed a days canoeing with Hamlet Mountaineering and highly recommend Josh's seascape expeditions in Ullapool for spotting wildlife but great fun too for all the family. A lovely restful holiday, the daffodils and marmalade were a lovely touch.
