Hill climbing has abundant opportunities in the area with Stac Pollaidh nearby and other mountains and loch's to explore. Kayaking is available as well as cruises around the Summer Isles.

The seacliffs at Reiff are well known to climbers for the type of sandstone and their suitability for a range of abilities. It is possible to order lobster, crab, scallops and prawns locally. If you bring a fishing rod you can fish for your own seafood from the rocks nearby. For fly Fishermen permits are available from The Rex's (please ask for contacts) or bought at Achiltibuie Stores for some of the many Loch's with trout in the area.

Ullapool is 45-60 minutes away where there is live music, bars, restaurants and shops and a Tesco supermarket. During the year Ceilidh's and dances with live music are held in the Coigach Community Hall in Achiltibuie. The formerly Michelin starred restaurant The Summer Isles Hotel is a few miles away and good food is found at the pub in Altandu.
